Oribe is one of the typical glaze color of Mino Ware. Mino Wareis is a type of ceramic-ware that has been developed in Mino Area (= Toki, Tajimi, and Mizunami. Southeast part of Gifu Prefecture).
Oribe was named after the tea master Oribe Furuta (1543-1615). His innovative style of ceramic-ware made a huge impact on Japanese ceramic crafts, and the unique shapes and colors of Japanese ware still attract people.

Deep forest-like /  moss-like green with black and brown stripes.
